If life is getting in the way of your beauty sleep, you can still fake it til you make it and avoid the dreaded “you look tired” comment.
Even the beauty experts have those days, the only difference is, we know all the tricks of the trade to hide bags, puffiness and dullness. So now we’re sharing them with you!
CHARLEY’S TIP:
When I know I’m looking tired, I use a small amount of BECCA’s Under-Eye Brightening Corrector (shop here) on top of my concealer, instead of underneath for colour correction. It brightens the area more, and the soft pearlescent finish gives the illusion that I’m wide awake, even if I’m still half asleep.
BEC’S TIP:
I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Firstly, keep Benefit’s Puff Off! Instant Eye Gel (shop here) in the fridge for a cooling and de-puffing effect. If I look tired, I opt for a high slick ponytail which basically gives me an instant face lift, and I make sure I define in my brows with Garbo & Kelly Brow Perfection Pencil (shop here). Lastly, and most obviously, concealer under the eyes. I like Inika’s Natural Perfection Concealer (shop here).
VANESSA’S TIP:
Curling your lashes to open up your eyes does wonders! I’d also recommend adding a liquid highlighter/illuminator like BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector (shop here) into your foundation or tinted moisturiser, this adds a natural looking glow to your complexion, brightening dull-looking skin.
JOANNA’S TIP:
Eye masks work really well to reduce puffiness and the appearance of fine lines – I like Lonvitalite 24K Gold & Collagen Eye Masks (shop here). I also like to use a nude or white eyeliner along the waterline of my lower lids – this brightens the appearance of my eyes and makes them look wider. A touch of highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes also works well, I like theBalm Manizers (shop here).
